The program runs eight months, with six months of full-time study at Georgetown University (in Washington, D.C.) and two months of part-time online study. All tuition is covered, and scholars receive a monthly stipend. After completing the program, graduates work for the federal government for at least one year. Currently, EHLS graduates are working for the Department of State, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security, among other agencies.
