We are excited to introduce more meaningful family service projects in the new year. This month, we will welcome the Lunar New Year with paper-cut window decorations, a longstanding tradition in Chinese culture where red paper cutouts adorn windows, symbolizing the tradition of ushering in the new and discarding the old. It is suitable for parents and children to participate together and enhances the parent-child relationship in the process.
Paper-cut window decorations are a classic form of Chinese handicraft, infused with rich cultural significance. In this activity, we will teach participants the art of creating paper-cut window decorations, allowing everyone to craft their own Lunar New Year ornaments. From choosing the colors of paper to crafting unique paper-cut patterns, each step will be filled with joy and creativity.
This event aims to provide comprehensive assistance to Chinese-American families through various resources, covering areas such as mental health, elderly well-being, welfare, counseling, and citizenship. To meet the unique needs of different families, we have introduced specialized services to address issues related to family dynamics and cultural adaptation.
For this engaging hands-on activity, participants are required to prepare materials in advance. Please register early to facilitate headcount.
