Hosted by the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center, the 2025 “Chinese Story Times For Kids” will kick off on January 11. 

This Select Saturdays event offers families a shared storytelling experience and cultural crafts, bringing parents and children closer together. Participants often leave with lasting memories and a sense of joy.

Located on the first floor of the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center, the TSAO Chinese Children’s Library has been dedicated to providing children with enriching and diverse learning experiences since its inception. 

Initially, professional Chinese instructors guided families through story readings using multimedia and engaging performances.

Since 2024, the program has expanded to include cultural crafts. After enjoying captivating stories, parents and children work together to create themed props inspired by the story. 

These creations become part of a group performance led by the instructor, adding an interactive and creative dimension to the storytelling experience.

The vibrant and imaginative crafts—such as paper scarecrows, rainbow fish, shadow puppets, paper pumpkins, and mice—are designed to spark curiosity and creativity in children. 

This hands-on activity fosters a fun atmosphere where kids can develop their artistic skills and imagination.

The 2025 “Chinese Story Times For Kids” is tailored for children aged 3-5, with carefully selected story themes and craft projects. Participation is free, but space is limited. Scan the QR code to register now!

由南海岸中華文化中心所舉辦2025「中文故事時間」活動，即將從1/11日起登場，透過這項隔周六舉辦的親子共享故事體驗和文化手作活動，不僅讓家庭與親子關係更緊密，也讓參加活動家庭，感到意猶未盡，留下深刻印象。

位於南海岸中華文化中心一樓的曹氏中文兒童圖書館，自成立以來，一直致力為兒童提供豐富多元的學習體驗。最初是請專業中文教師，透過多媒體與活潑生動展演方式，為親子導讀故事。

從2024年開始，除了聽老師講故事，也增加文化手作項目，讓父母親和孩子在聽完老師講故事後，還要依照故事所講述主題，由親子共同來完成表演道具，最後再由老師帶領小朋友一起來展演。

由於老師所講述故事，生動有趣 ，激發了小朋友好奇心和想像力。在手作品部份，不僅色彩鮮艷，更饒富趣味，像是紙質稻草人、彩虹魚、海底皮影戲、紙南瓜和老鼠等，也讓 小朋友在歡愉氛圍中，培養創造力和手作能力。
