Free Community Workshop | Understanding the UC Application Journey

Navigating the UC application process can feel overwhelming. To better serve our community, SCCCA is pleased to offer this free community educational workshop for 11th- and 12th-grade students and their families.

Led by Dr. Tony Hwang, Ed.D., a higher-education professional with over 25 years of leadership experience within the University of California system, including former executive leadership roles in undergraduate admissions and enrollment management at UC Irvine, this workshop will provide practical insights into the UC application, admissions decisions, and enrollment process.

Each session is one hour, including a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A.

Session Options:

• Sunday, 9/27/2026, 4:30–5:30 PM
• Saturday, 10/10/2026, 4:30–5:30 PM

The two sessions offer the same content, so please choose one to attend. This workshop is free and provided by SCCCA as a community service. Space is limited, and advance registration is required. We welcome families to join us, bring your questions, and gain a clearer understanding of the UC journey.

UC 大學申請對學生和家長而言，往往充滿許多疑問與不確定。為服務社區，SCCCA 特別提供本次免費公益講座，為 11、12 年級學生及家庭分享實用的大學申請資訊與經驗。

本次講座由 Dr. Tony Hwang, Ed.D. 主講，擁有超過 25 年的加州大學系統領導與行政經驗，並曾擔任 UC Irvine 本科招生及註冊與招生管理相關執行主管，對 UC 招生、申請及入學流程具有豐富的專業經驗。

每場講座共 1 小時，包括 45 分鐘主題講座，以及 15 分鐘 Q&A 問答時間。
