We are going to celebrate the Lunar New Year this coming weekend on January 21st and 22nd. Students need to come to school on time. The first period of the class is the cultural instruction and follows the outdoor festival.
Please note the morning classes will end at 11:20am. The afternoon classes will be dismissed at 4:00pm on Saturday & 3:30pm on Sunday. In order to watch the outdoor performance, students and parent for the afternoon session are welcome to arrive early to enjoy the outdoor performance starting at 11:50 am, as well as the award presentation for outstanding works in the autumn academic vote.
A friendly reminder to parents: There is heavy traffic before classes begin. When dropping off your child, please ensure to turn off your engine and
park safely before allowing your child to exit the vehicle. Otherwise, it could result in traffic congestion and pose a danger to pedestrians and other vehicles in the area. Thank you for your cooperation.
Parents who volunteer for the Lunar New Year celebration activities at school are kindly requested to sign in and sign out at the service desk on the day of the event.
參與農曆新年校內慶祝活動的家長志工,當天敬請至服務台簽到和簽退。
K-4th grade children need parent chaperones in the festival. Parents now are welcome to sign up to fulfill your parent service requirement. Please note your participation can’t be counted as service points if you don’t sign up ahead of time.
The South Coast Chinese Cultural Association (SCCCA) is an educational and cultural charity organization spontaneously formed by Chinese in Southern California. Not only did SCCCA establish the largest scale Irvine Chinese School in Southern California in 1976, it also gathered the strength of the Chinese community in 2005 and established independently the only South Coast Chinese Cultural Center in Southern California dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese culture and Chinese learning and advocating and realizing a multicultural life."
