2022-23 Year-End Ceremony

爾灣中文學校結業典禮

2022-23 Year-End Ceremony will take place at the outdoor Amphitheater this week, two sessions on 5/21(Sat) and 2 sessions on 5/22(Sun).  Please note that 5/20 and 5/21 will be on normal school schedules. Students need to arrive at school on time and dismiss at the Chinese Garden/Lobby. The pizza party for the winning classes of the performance will take place 30 minutes before the school dismissal. 

2022-2023 爾灣中文學校結業典禮將於本週5/20(週六), 5/21(週日)上下午各一場, 地點在戶外劇場舉行。

請注意：5/20, 5/21 結業日,仍是正常上學時間! 學生需準時到校，並依照平常的方式和時間放學, 母親節表演優勝班級的 pizza party 將在放學前半小時舉行 。

ICS now is in the process of approving the requests of parent volunteer service points. Please log into your Sycamore to check if your requests of service points are submitted/approved. Feel free to reach out jnsu@sccca.org if you have any questions.

學校目前正結算家長服務點數保證金，敬請各位家長登入Sycamore帳戶查核服務點數是否許可無誤。如果家長在完成服務後沒有上網遞交，將導致無點數可審核。如果有任何問題，請聯絡jnsu@sccca.org查詢。

2023-2024 School Year Policy Reminder: ：

1. Students should stay in the assigned class throughout the school year. There is no make up class if any class is missed by the students. Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation. 
2. To protect students’ right to learn,  the school has a new policy toward the Ping-Pong and badminton electives. Just a heads up that students who have enrolled in the Ping-Pong or badminton electives in the new school year will be spontaneously removed from the class to the other electives for being absent 5 times. Their spots will be released to students on the waiting list.

2023-2024學年規定變更:

1. 下學年不再接受臨時更換上課時段，請家長們諒察。
2. 下學期選修乒乓球，羽毛球的家長請注意, 由於班級名額有限, 但等候名單很長，因此為了盡可能保障所有學生的學習權益，下學期凡缺課達五次以上，將安排轉到其他選修課，其名額將自動釋出給等候名單上的學生。

AAYL SUMMER PROGRAM 2023

The Asian American Youth Leaders Summer Program is a five-day educational experience for high school students collaboratively designed by University of California, Irvine students under the mentorship of Professor Judy Tzu-Chun Wu and Tony Hwang. 

Students will attend college-level seminars developed to introduce the histories, politics, literature, and art of Asian American communities.

June 26 - 30, 2023
1 pm - 5 pm
Participants: High School Students (9th - 12th grade)

為慶祝五月亞太裔傳統月，南海岸中華文化中心與加州大學爾灣分校人文學院合作的亞裔青少年領袖項目（AAYL），於5月6日(星期六)展出本期結業的學生攝影作品及短文，加州州議員閔大衛聽取學生的口頭報告，並頒發表揚獎狀給結業學生。

CAYALC同學首秀圓滿成功

5月7日CAYALC同學們自己策劃的首秀圓滿成功。 CAYALC全稱Chinese American Youth Art Leaders Club.南海岸文化中心青年領袖俱樂部成立剛剛半年的時間，俱樂部成員是文化中心舞團、樂團、武術隊等培養出來的優秀學生，同學們從小在團內學習鍛煉，成長起來進入了青年領袖俱樂部，他們發揮所長在俱樂部中繼續成長，不僅提升了更多的才能也提高了團隊合作精神。

The South Coast Chinese Cultural Association (SCCCA) is an educational and cultural charity organization spontaneously formed by Chinese in Southern California. Not only did it establish the largest-scale Irvine Chinese School in Southern California in 1976, it also gathered the strength of the Chinese community in 2005 and established it independently The only South Coast Chinese Cultural Center in Southern California is dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese culture, promoting Chinese learning, and advocating and realizing a multicultural life.
