Spring break will occur from March 30th to March 31st, and then again from April 6th to April 7th. Classes at the Chinese school will resume on April 13th and April 14th.

3/30, 3/31, 4/6, 4/7為春假停課，中文學校將於4/13 & 4/14恢復上課。 

Registration for the 2024-2025 weekend classes is now open

2024-2025週末班舊生註冊已經起跑

Registration for the 2024-2025 weekend classes at Irvine Chinese School is now open for existing students (including siblings). Parents of current students may begin the enrollment process by clicking on the link provided in the enrollment notice email sent to each family. Please be aware that due to limited space in each session and class, existing students must submit their enrollment application by April 8th and pay the tuition fees by April 12th to secure their spots in their original classes. Furthermore, they are eligible for an early bird discount of $45 per person.

爾灣中文學校2024-2025週末班舊生(含兄弟姊妹)註冊已經起跑， 家長可以透過註冊通知電郵內的鏈結完成註冊程序。請注意！由於各時段各班名額有限，舊生需要在4/8以前提交入學申請，並在4/12之前付清學費，才能確保原來班級的名額, 並可享受每人$45早鳥優惠。

Time: 3:30pm - 5:30pm

For the 2024-2025 academic year, Irvine Chinese School is currently open for registration for the weekday program, offering options for attendance either two or three days a week. Detailed registration information is available on the school website. It's important to note that makeup classes across different time slots are not available for weekend classes. Parents anticipating excessive absences in the upcoming semester may wish to consider switching to weekday classes.

2024-2025學年爾灣中文學校週間班開始受理報名，週間班課程提供每週兩天/三天兩種選擇，報名詳細資訊請參閱學校網站。由於週末班不接受跨時段補課，如果家長預期下學期可能過多缺課，可以考慮轉為週間班。

2024 Summer Camp Registration Opens

Wondering where to spend your summer? Registration is now open for the 2024 Irvine Chinese School Cultural Summer Camp. Our camp features a range of full-day and half-day themed Chinese immersion programs, covering storytelling, daily conversation, cultural workshops, sports camps, and talent enrichment activities. Students from kindergarten to 6th grade in the fall of 2024 are invited to join us. Visit the school website for course details and registration information.

Students in both weekend and weekday classes can explore traditional culture from multiple perspectives through various cultural elective courses. The captivating works produced from these courses are currently showcased on the first floor of the school. Parents are encouraged to visit and appreciate the displays.

Applications for high school graduation and outstanding performance awards will be open from March 17th to April 15th. Please access the application instructions and forms on the school website  for further details.

We are thrilled to introduce a "Chinese Story Time" event that we are hosting every Sunday at the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center's library. This event is designed for children aged 4-7 and their parents. It's a wonderful opportunity for families to come together and enjoy quality time while delving into the rich world of Chinese culture through captivating stories. Best of all, participation in this event is completely free.

Confucius and Confucianism

孔子與儒家思想

Confucius (551 BC – 479 BC) was a great ancient Chinese thinker, educator, philosopher, and the founder of the Confucian school of thought. Confucianism emphasizes personal cultivation, benevolence, propriety, and morality. The ideas proposed by Confucius have had a profound impact on traditional Chinese culture.

Confucianism emphasizes "benevolence," which means showing love and sympathy towards others. This concept is reflected in Confucius' famous saying, "Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself." ...

孔子（公元前551年－公元前479年）是中國古代偉大的思想家、教育家、哲學家，也是儒家學派的創始人。儒家思想強調人的修養、仁愛、禮節和道德。孔子提出的思想對中國傳統文化產生了深遠影響。

The South Coast Chinese Cultural Association (SCCCA) is an educational and cultural charity organization spontaneously formed by Chinese in Southern California.
