School Announcements 教務處公告

Students who are honored in the ICS academic activity are going to receive a certificate and a gift. Please find the booth this coming Sunday (11/13), 11:00am-4:00pm. If you can't pick up your certificate and gift, you may still receive them next school day.    

獲得校內秋季學術推廣活動佳作獎的同學，可在本週日(11/13)戶外活動領取獎狀及獎品，時間為上午11點到下午4點。如果本週日來不及領取的同學，也可以在下週上課日到校領取。

Please remind your children to bring their jacket or water bottle home before they  leave the classroom. If their jackets or water bottles are missing, please contact your teachers first and then look for it at the lost and found.  

學生在離開教室前，請記得帶走自己的外套和水壺。如果遺失，請先詢問老師是否遺留在教室，然後再到辦公室失物招領處尋找。。

第46屆南加州中文學校聯合會表揚優良教師暨優良學生，祝賀本校蔡善瑩老師服務屆滿二十年, 溫秀熒老師服務屆滿五年, 週日高中中文四蔣平磊同學榮獲聯合會獎學金。

SCCCS recently honored excellent Chinese teachers and students in Southern California. Congratulations to our teachers, Shan-Ying Tsai and Amy Wen for their great effort of teaching 20 years and 5 years separately, and Carol Chiang, the High School Chinese 4 student, who received the SCCCS scholarship.

Fall Into Music & Cultural Experiences

「秋意濃」南海岸中華樂團/鼓團年度音樂會及文化體驗

Come enjoy the rich & colorful melody presented by South Coast Chinese Orchestra and Drum Team on Nov 13 (Sunday) from 11am at the Mar Amphitheater. The orchestra will showcase several new pieces under the guidance of music director Bin He. Try on a traditional hanfu costume and take photos with musical instruments. Decorate your own paper lantern, hand fan or Chinese opera mask.

南海岸中華樂團/鼓團將於11月13日（週日）11點起，在南海岸中華文化中心戶外劇場舉行年度音樂會，除了有樂團及鼓團大合奏，並有琵琶、古箏、中阮、二胡、笛子等不同樂器的獨奏及小合奏，11:30現場安排試穿漢服、彩繪燈籠、扇子及京劇臉譜、巨形象棋、傳統美食品嚐等等，音樂會及文化體驗均免費開放參加。

“My Life is Worth Living” is the first animated series about suicide prevention produced by Cook Center for Human Connection and Wonder Media. The series is produced by the famous Hollywood producer Terry Thoren (The Simpsons/Rugrats and other animations). All short films have the Mandarin Chinese version. so the Chinese families can watch together. We hope that this is an effective way for the Chinese viewers to understand the subjects with empathy.

Lantern Festival, presented by Pacific Symphony and South Coast Chinese Cultural Center, is a community event where the act of appreciating lanterns is a way for people to let go of the burdens of their old selves and express their best wishes for themselves and their families for the future.

The South Coast Chinese Cultural Association (SCCCA) is an educational and cultural charity organization spontaneously formed by Chinese in Southern California. Not only did it establish the largest-scale Irvine Chinese School in Southern California in 1976, it also gathered the strength of the Chinese community in 2005 and established it independently The only South Coast Chinese Cultural Center in Southern California is dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese culture, promoting Chinese learning, and advocating and realizing a multicultural life.
