Our 2023 Lunar New Year celebration was a huge success! Thanks to all the teachers, parents and students who participated over the weekend. We are grateful to a large number of parent volunteers who assisted in making small lucky bags, taking care of booths, and being parent chaperones.
Thanks to Assemblywomen Petrie-Norris for participating in this event. We feel the strong enthusiasm, and I also thanks to the Irvine Police Department for taking the initiative to send more police to maintain the safety of the community. 2023農曆新年校內園遊會上週末圓滿結束，非常感謝大家的熱情參與。感恩大量家長義工投入, 在活動前協助製作小福袋, 並在現場負責攤位或陪伴低年級學生, 全校師生得以充分體會新年的熱鬧氣氛。 特別感謝加州眾議員Assemblywomen Petrie-Norris 蒞臨參與本校的慶祝活動，感受到了濃濃的熱情，也感謝爾灣警察局，主動增派警力維護社區安全，讓學生們有一個美好的初始，希望兔年能夠一帆風順，揚眉兔氣。 |

The Monkey King will be premiered at Lantern Festival
2023 美猴王即將登場元宵節活動
Free family event! Bring the entire family and join us for Pacific Symphony’s annual Lantern Festival, celebrating the Year of the Rabbit!
The South Coast Chinese Orchestra and the Chinese Dance Company of Southern California will perform the Monkey King original musical at the opening of the event. Composed by teacher He Bin, combined with traditional Chinese musical instruments, Western stringed instrument music, traditional Chinese dance and martial arts, it tells the story of the Monkey King. It is exciting and not to be missed! 太平洋交響樂團與南海岸中華文化中心合辦的橙縣元宵燈會，訂於2023年2月18日在Renee & Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall舉行，南海岸中華樂團與南加中華舞團將在活動開場時11點至12點間演出《美猴王》原創音樂劇。由何彬老師作曲，結合中國傳統樂器、西方弦樂器音樂、中國傳統舞蹈與武術，講述美猴王的故事，精彩可期，不容錯過！ |

南海岸中華文化協會(SCCCA)，是由南加華人自發組成的教育文化公益組織，不但在1976年成立了南加最具規模的爾灣中文學校，在2005年更凝聚華人社區力量，南加最大的南海岸中華文化中心，致力於傳承及發揚傳統中華文化，推廣中文學習，進而提倡及實現多元文化的和諧社會。
The South Coast Chinese Cultural Association (SCCCA) is an educational and cultural charity organization spontaneously formed by Chinese in Southern California. Not only did it establish the largest-scale Irvine Chinese School in Southern California in 1976, it also gathered the strength of the Chinese community in 2005 and established it independently The only South Coast Chinese Cultural Center in Southern California is dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese culture, promoting Chinese learning, and advocating and realizing a multicultural life.
