The past weekend SCCCA received a lot of positive feedback from the parents and community members on the Chinese Immersion Charter school petition. The petition is aiming to submit to seek authorization from the Irvine Unified School District by Nov. 1, 2022. Timely support from the community is critical to the success of this initiative. Please sign on the required forms.

南海岸中華文化協會所推動的支持爾灣成立公立爾灣中英雙語沉浸式學校的簽名聯署，一推出便收到社區居民的熱烈歡迎。未來一旦獲得通過，此一全新的公立特許學校預計名稱為Irvine Chinese Immersion Academy 公立爾灣中英雙語沉浸式學校 ，將可為大爾灣地區提供重要的文化語言服務。

呼籲對公立爾灣中英雙語沉浸式學校有興趣的學生家長或監護人，親自到 9 Truman Irvine 聯署簽名，或者自行打印出表格和簽名後送到9 Truman Irvine。

• Friendly reminder:  midterm exam this week. 

• Chinese academic activity will be held in the language session this week. All CSL classes and Pinyin/Zhuyin 1-3 will take the penmanship/drawing. 4-12 graders will take the Picture-Narration. Please remind your child to bring colored pencils for penmanship/drawing before the class. The writing performance will also be included in students’ grading. Students with good performance have the opportunities to participate in the SCCCS contest.

• Please check the Lost and Found at the front door to get your stuff back.

• 這星期為秋季學術推廣活動第二週，語文課時段CSL所有所有班級和拚音/注音1-3年級將參加硬筆書法/繪畫(請提醒孩子帶彩色鉛筆)，4-12年級為看圖作文。學生書寫結果將納入學期計分， 表現優異者將有機會參加校外比賽

• 學生或家長欲使用iChinese Reader，請從官網登錄，也可從學校網站登入(login)選擇iChineseReader login，但請不要使用iPad上的app。

• 每週上課前後，校門口有失物招領處，請各位家長留意取回。

The South Coast Chinese Cultural Association (SCCCA) is an educational and cultural charity organization spontaneously formed by Chinese in Southern California. Not only did it establish the largest-scale Irvine Chinese School in Southern California in 1976, it also gathered the strength of the Chinese community in 2005 and established it independently The only South Coast Chinese Cultural Center in Southern California is dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese culture, promoting Chinese learning, and advocating and realizing a multicultural life.
