Parent volunteers for the 2023 OC Lantern Festival needed! The event will be held on February 18th at Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. You will earn 5 service points for every slot (3 hours). All the parent volunteering slots for the 2022-2023 school year have been released. Please sign up to fulfill your parent service requirements soon. 

2023橙縣元宵活動正熱烈招募家長義工! 時間為2月18日, 地點在Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. 校外服務三個小時將等同五個服務點數 。本學年家長義工服務機會已經全部釋出，請把握機會上網登記 。

Warm reminder to all parent volunteers who sign up in SignUpGenius, please remember to log into Sycamore with your account with ICS and submit your service points request. The approval will be completed by February 15th. If you find your request is still pending or have any questions about the request, please email jnsu@sccca.org. 

溫馨提醒所有在SignUpGenius填寫幫忙的家長志工，記得登入學校的Sycamore系統, 遞交您的服務點數, 所有許可會在2/15前完成。如果之後您查看服務點數仍在pending狀態, 或對申請服務點數有任何疑問, 煩請電郵jnsu@sccca.org.

Irvine Chinese School took group photos for the class every year to record the beautiful moments, and it is also used for the production of the Year book. Parents could visit school Facebook album to review. 

爾灣中文學校每年都會為班級拍攝團體照，紀錄美好時刻，另外也用作Year book的製作。家長可以至學校Facebook相簿中瀏覽。

Students Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit
爾灣中文學校慶祝兔年新春

Today, all teachers and students of Irvine Chinese School prepared wonderful performances to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Thanks to Assemblywomen Petrie-Norris for participating in this event. We feel the strong enthusiasm, and I also thanks to the Irvine Police Department for taking the initiative to send more police to maintain the safety of the community.

今天爾灣中文學校全體師生為了慶祝農曆新年，準備了精采的表演，義工家長與老師們也準備了很多有趣的攤位活動。感謝Assemblywomen Petrie-Norris特別蒞臨參與這個活動，感受到了濃濃的熱情，同時也感謝爾灣警局，主動增派警力維護社區安全，這真是個美好的初始，希望兔年能夠一帆風順，揚眉兔氣。

The Monkey King will be premiered at Lantern Festival
2023 美猴王即將登場元宵節活動 

Free family event! Bring the entire family and join us for Pacific Symphony’s annual Lantern Festival, celebrating the Year of the Rabbit! 

The South Coast Chinese Orchestra and the Chinese Dance Company of Southern California will perform the Monkey King original musical at the opening of the event. Composed by teacher He Bin, combined with traditional Chinese musical instruments, Western stringed instrument music, traditional Chinese dance and martial arts, it tells the story of the Monkey King. It is exciting and not to be missed!

太平洋交響樂團與南海岸中華文化中心合辦的橙縣元宵燈會，訂於2023年2月18日在Renee & Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall舉行，南海岸中華樂團與南加中華舞團將在活動開場時11點至12點間演出《美猴王》原創音樂劇。由何彬老師作曲，結合中國傳統樂器、西方弦樂器音樂、中國傳統舞蹈與武術，講述美猴王的故事，精彩可期，不容錯過！

Spring League is On!  SoCal Elite Basketball Team Start Registration

春季籃球隊開始招生了!  

SCCCC is in partnership with SoCal Elite Sports to form the basketball teams, welcome all the girls/ boys from kindergarten to the 2nd graders to join. There are 2 information meetings and free workout on February 13 & 27 from 4:30-5:30 pm.  Basketball team registration link Register it before the end of the early bird! 

春季籃球隊開始招生了! 南海岸中華文化中心和專門訓練幼兒籃球等運動的SoCal Elite Sports合作將成立籃球隊，歡迎所有幼稚園到2年級的男女生們加入，中心將於2月13及27日兩天4點30分，由SoCal Elite Sports  總監主持免費體驗課程及說明會。參加者限於幼稚園到2年級，父母或監護人需陪同。把握早鳥優惠!

The South Coast Chinese Cultural Association (SCCCA) is an educational and cultural charity organization spontaneously formed by Chinese in Southern California. Not only did it establish the largest-scale Irvine Chinese School in Southern California in 1976, it also gathered the strength of the Chinese community in 2005 and established it independently The only South Coast Chinese Cultural Center in Southern California is dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese culture, promoting Chinese learning, and advocating and realizing a multicultural life.
