South Coast Chinese Orchestra
South Coast Chinese Orchestra contains elements of tradition, modern, and innovation; it preserves the essence of traditional Chinese music and integrates into overseas mainstream society to present a vivid and contemporary aspect of Chinese traditional music in order to attract more population who share the same music interest. South Coast Chinese Orchestra is directed and conducted by Mr. He Bin, who took part in the Chinese music of creation and recording in both Disneyland in Shanghai and California. He also took part with a number of well-known video games and films in integrating traditional Chinese musical instruments and western electronic musical instruments.
Instruments are provided and instrument rental is available if needed.

In order to promote Chinese music in the United States, He Bin is willing to go behind the scenes. He and his wife, Yu Jiang Li, a guzheng performer, founded a very well known String & Bamboo Music in Los Angeles in 2002 to advocate Chinese music in its education and knowledge. In the last 15 years, they both not only cultivated a number of highly qualified performers, they carefully prepared many music materials together which combined the characteristics of the East and the West. Their music materials are based on students’ learning style and need so that students are enlightened under two different music cultures through contacting with traditional Chinese musical instruments.

Orchestra Group Practice
Regular group practices directed by an instructor can cultivate excellent musicians and orchestras. Through group practice in South Coast Chinese Orchestra, students can apply skills they have learned to actual performance and focus on strengthening training in pitch, rhythm and sound intensity, which are often problem areas when practice alone. Through group practice, students can also improve individual performing level and achieve a sense of accomplishment.

Course Introduction
For different age groups in the community who are interested in traditional Chinese musical instruments, the course provides excellent environment and instructors for learning traditional musical instruments.
The course includes beginner and advanced classes for both children and adults in Erhu, Zhongruan, Yangqin, guzheng and flute, taught and directed by experienced performer, conductor, and producer Mr. He Bin and his wife Yu Jiang Li. Students who have studied for more than a year are eligible to take the Music Level Examination.

Chinese Drum Team
There are many benefits to drumming, including the balance of the left and right brains, and the rhythm is inspiring, and the body and mind can be released after each class. No need for any experience, open to the age of 9 and adults to participate. join us to exercise and to ease the pressure.
