K-1st Grade (Full Day Only)
Chinese Program
Beginner Class
In this immersive full-day Chinese course, young children will participate in Chinese storytelling, fun games, classroom activities, arts and crafts, music and movement. Through specific life themes and language goals, they will learn practical and engaging daily conversations. This class is open to students entering Kindergarten and 1st grade this fall, regardless of their Chinese language proficiency.

2nd-6th Grade (Morning)

Chinese Program
1. CSL Conversation (9:00am-11:50am)
Students will learn mandarin conversation through half-day group activities, stories, games, and crafts. With a focus on specific life themes and language goals, they will practice practical and engaging daily conversations. Prior to registration, students will undergo an assessment to determine their class placement. This course is designed for 2-6 grade students this fall with limited speaking abilities or no prior foundation in Chinese.
2. STEM Language Discovery (9:00am-11:50am)
New STEM Language Discovery Experience- Every two weeks, students will engage with a new STEM-themed topic while learning Chinese. Each day, the teacher will introduce a hands-on project or experiment related to the week's theme, incorporating picture books, writing/recording, poetry, songs, arts and crafts, drama, and interactive language activities and games. This course is designed for 2nd to 6th-grade students this fall with a strong foundation in Chinese listening and speaking skills.
3.Sports Camp (9:00am-11:50am)
Our spacious indoor multi-purpose sports facility is perfect for basketball, badminton, indoor soccer, and more. Skilled coaches offer a safe and engaging environment to teach children the fundamental skills of each sport while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. This course is taught in English and is open to students entering grades 2 through 6 this fall.

Chinese Program
1. Culture Workshop (1:00pm-3:50pm)
Students will participate in a weekly rotation of five cultural courses, grouped based on their morning language proficiency levels. Novice-Low students will receive appropriate English assistance. Five courses are as follows:
- Cultural Crafts: Engage in creating cultural art projects using techniques like calligraphy and traditional Chinese painting.
- Scientific Inventions: Explore ancient or modern scientific practices such as papermaking, printing, gunpowder, and dyeing.
- Ethnic Customs: Gain an understanding of the unique architecture, clothing, geographical resources of various ethnicities, or participate in ethnic activities/dances.
- Huaxia Flavors: Combine arts and crafts with the taste of unique Chinese cuisine from festivals or solar terms.
- Summer Frolic: Experience Chinese childhood games, night market activities, team-building exercises, karaoke, and participate in fun competitions that stimulate creativity.
2. Enrichment Program (1:00pm-3:50pm)
Art & Craft
Introduce your child to a variety of art techniques and styles that will help them express their creativity. Our professional art teachers will guide them through fun and inspiring projects, nurturing their artistic skills along the way. This course, taught in English, is open to students entering grades 2-6 this fall.
Chess
A course designed for children who love chess or wish to learn the game, with a progressive curriculum that starts from the basics. Experienced coaches will provide step-by-step instruction on topics such as understanding the chessboard and pieces, rules of the game, practice matches, and tactical exercises to help improve their skills and strategies. This course is taught in English and is open to students entering grades 2-6 this fall.
Chinese Music Instruments
Through this introductory course, students will get a glimpse of various traditional Chinese instruments, such as the guzheng, erhu, percussion, and more. They will learn about the sound principles and playing techniques of these instruments. The course is designed to help students quickly play a simple, familiar piece, sparking their interest in Chinese music. This course is taught in Chinese, with English support available.
Chinese Drum
Drumming is beneficial for emotional regulation and sensory integration. Students will learn to combine body movements with rhythmic drumming, effectively helping to relieve everyday stress. The course is led by Mr. Bin He, conductor of the South Coast Chinese Orchestra. This course is taught in Chinese, with English support available.
