Dear SCCCA Families and Friends,

SCCCA celebrates its 46th anniversary in 2023.  At SCCCA we would like to take this moment to say “Thank you!” to many of you in the community. Without your unwavering support and trust, we won't be able to overcome the significant challenges and difficulties this year.

As one of the most respectable nonprofits in OC, we are embarking on remarkable endeavors together with many Asian American organizations throughout the pandemic period and anti Asian Hate Crime.  Asian American Youth Leaders 2.0 is one of many programs led by SCCCA.

We are proud to open the Irvine Chinese Immersion Academy this fall with 200+ elementary students enrolled. This is the first even Chinese Immersion public charter school authorized by Irvine Unified School District. Such an exciting milestone for the entire community!

We are thrilled to be able to serve many young children and their families, to see the rapid expansion of our Early Childhood programs, including preschool and kindergarten.  Our weekend and weekday heritage programs continue to be the largest ones in the region and to the core of our community services. 

We are also grateful for the impact and supporters of South Coast Chinese Orchestra and Chinese Dance Company of Southern California, two powerful performing arts teams that have helped engage the local community more deeply in understanding Chinese culture and beyond.

 The South Coast Chinese Cultural Association (SCCCA) is an educational and cultural charity organization spontaneously formed by Chinese in Southern California. Not only did SCCCA establish the largest scale Irvine Chinese School in Southern California in 1976, it also gathered the strength of the Chinese community in 2005 and established independently the only South Coast Chinese Cultural Center in Southern California dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese culture and Chinese learning and advocating and realizing a multicultural life."
