Zines: The Cost of Belonging

 

On April 20th, Saturday morning, the Asian American Youth Leadership (AAYL) hosted the demonstration and celebration of the Spring 2024 project: "Zines: The Cost of Belonging” at the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center. The South Coast Chinese Cultural Association (SCCCA) is an educational and cultural charity organization spontaneously formed by Chinese in Southern California. Not only did SCCCA establish the largest scale Irvine Chinese School in Southern California in 1976, it also gathered the strength of the Chinese community in 2005 and established independently the only South Coast Chinese Cultural Center in Southern California dedicated to promoting traditional Chinese culture and Chinese learning and advocating and realizing a multicultural life."
