The Irvine Canaan Christian Community Church is an independent church following true biblical teachings, established on November 1, 1981.
November 1981: The Canaanite Christian Church was established in Mission Viejo, California. Later it moved to Laguna Hills, California (renting from a local
church, meeting on Sunday afternoons)
1989: The Christian Union Center was established in Fountain Valley, California. (renting a local school, meeting on Sunday mornings)
March 1993: The Canaan Christian Church and the Christian Union Center joined together in Irvine, California. Since then, the two have been united into one,
named "Irvine Canaan Christian Community Church".
February 1998: In order to encourage brothers and sisters to study the Bible, the church has established a "Bible Speed Reading Class", which has become a long term traditional feature of the church. Many attend the class repeatedly.
July 2004: On Murphy Ave, Irvine, after the church acquired two buildings, the church was officially renovated and equipped with a complete indoor stadium, and held a special "Dedication Memorial".
September 2014: After receiving much grace from God, for the advancing of the Gospel and the growth of the church, it moved to the current location of Armstrong’s New Hall for worship.
Our faith
- There is only one God. (the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, the three-in-one God.) He is the true God who always exists, created the universe and mankind. He is whom we believe in and worship.
- The Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He shed his blood and died on the cross to bear our sins so that all who believe in Him may be forgiven their sins and not perish, but have eternal life.
- The Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day after his death, and then ascended to heaven, sitting at the right hand of God, and gave the Holy Spirit to live in all those who believe in Him, and teach us in all things. The Lord Jesus Christ will come and take us to Him in the future.
- The work of the Holy Spirit enables people to acknowledge their sins, and be reborn. He lives in the hearts of believers, enabling them to live a holy life, serving God and man.
- The head of the church is Christ, and the church is His body, organized by people reborn of the Holy Spirit.
- All of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God, show God's plan of redemption, and are the highest authority in faith and life.
Our mission
Follow the command of the Lord Jesus Christ: Go, make disciples of all nations, baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey the Lord’s commands and to love each other.
Church status
There are currently about 400 people in the Sunday gatherings.

迦南基督教會是一所信仰純正的獨立教會，成立於 1981 年 11 月 1 日。
1981 年 11 月，迦南基督教會成立，位於 MissionViejo，後遷至 Laguna Hills（借用當地一家教會，主日下午聚會）。
1989 年，基督徒聯合中心成立，位於 FountainValley。（借用當地學校，主日上午聚會）。
1993 年 3 月，迦南基督教會與基督徒聯合中心聯合在爾灣聚會，從此就合二為一，命名為「爾灣迦南基督教會」，Irvine Canaan Christian Community Church。
1998 年 2 月，為鼓勵弟兄姐妹們習讀聖經，教會自此時起成立「聖經速讀班」，成為一長期的教會傳統特色，多年來歷久不衰，甚至有人多次重複參加者。
2004 年 7 月，於原教會爾灣 Murphy Ave，教會先後購置兩幢建築後，正式改建完成，並設有完善的
室內體育場，特舉辦「獻堂記念」。
2014 年 9 月，蒙神多次意外的恩典，為興旺褔音及教會，於爾灣舊址購入鄰邊的第三幢建築後，時隔34 年，轉遷至此現址 Armstrong 新堂崇拜聚會。
我們的信仰
1. 神只有一位，是聖父、聖子、聖靈、三而一的神。祂是自有永有、創造宇宙萬物和人類的真神，就是我們所信奉、所敬拜的。
2. 主耶穌基督是神的兒子，他在十字架上流血捨命，是為擔當我們的罪，使一切信他的人，罪得赦免，不致滅亡，反得永生。
3. 主耶穌基督死後第三天從死裡復活，以後升天，坐在神的右邊，並賜下聖靈，住在一切信他的人裡面，在凡事上教訓我們。主耶穌基督將來還要
來接我們到他那裡去。
4. 聖靈的工作使人知罪、重生，並住在信徒心中，使人有能力過聖潔的生活，進而事奉神、服務人。
5. 教會之首是基督，教會是他的身體，由聖靈所重生的人組織而成。
6. 全部新舊約聖經是神的啟示，展現出神救贖人的計劃，也是信仰與生活的最高權威。
使徒信經
以下綜合紀載我們的終極信仰，於每主日聚會時，禱告前全體會眾必共同誦讀的：我信上帝，全能的父，創造天地的主。
我信我主耶穌基督，是上帝的獨生子，因聖靈感孕，為童貞女馬利亞所生；在本丟彼拉多手下受難，被釘在十字架上，受死，埋葬；降到陰間，第三天從死裡復活；升天，坐在全能的父上帝的右邊；將來必從那裡降臨，審判活人死人。
我信聖靈。我信聖而公之教會。我信聖徒相通。
我信罪得赦免。我信身體復活。我信永生。阿們！
我們的使命
遵照主耶穌基督的命令：去，使萬民作主的門徒，給他們施洗，歸入父、子、聖靈的名，凡主所吩咐我們的，都教訓他們遵守。並要遵守主的命令，彼此相愛。
