Students at SCCCA participate in three-hour Chinese learning sessions led by experienced ICS teachers who utilize theme-based instruction. Our courses prioritize direct learning of novice-level Chinese characters over Pinyin. SCCCA promotes a fully Mandarin-immersed learning environment. Language Instruction

Students come to SCCCA for 2 hours of Chinese learning each time, twice a week. Parents have three options for attending: 2 days (language courses only), 3 days (2 days language & 1 day culture enrichment), and 5 days (2 days language, 2 days review and 1 day culture enrichment). Students will be assigned to the appropriate language class based on the student background survey. All our Chinese courses are instructed by experienced ICS teachers, with the same curriculum and instruction adopted in the weekend Chinese school. Per parents’ request to the Traditional or Simplified Chinese, students will receive the specified instructional material. Students will need to complete the unit test and assignment at school.
