The Chinese Students and Scholars Association at UCI (CSSA-UCI) is a non-political, non-religious, and non-profit student organization formally registered at the
University of California, Irvine. It is the ONLY Chinese student organization recognized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China. Established by Chinese students at UCI in 1986, CSSA-UCI has become the largest Chinese student organization in Irvine, covering more than 14000 Chinese students and scholars. Not only did CSSA-UCI become the home for Chinese overseas, but it has also earned the appreciation of UCI students through its diverse contributions to their college life.
The mission of CSSA-UCI is to enhance the unity of Chinese members in Irvine and organize activities that enrich student life by conducting recreational activities
and offering campus and career opportunities. For example, the Career Development Summit is conducted every year to provide vocational assistance to all Chinese students at UCI. Meanwhile, we aimed to facilitate international cultural exchange among the UCI community and present events such as the Spring Festival Gala that celebrates Chinese New Year to every interested person. A dozen of activities are held by CSSA each year, and we are continuously coming up with novel ideas about future actions.

CSSA-UCI 是一個無政治、無宗教、非營利、並且正式在 UCI 註冊的學生組織。30 多年前於 UCI由中國學生成立，並已經成為 UCI 最大的華人學生組織。
CSSA 各類不同部門介紹
CSSA 職發部
學術與職業發展部，為所有的 UCI 華人學生學者提供學術和職業發展上的幫助，通過和國內外知名企業、院校聯繫，向廣大華人群體提供實習和就業機會，同時與學校 career center 及 innovation center 合作，掌握到第一手的職場訊息及創業機遇。設計並舉辦年度 CSSA 職發峰會，UCI Ted Talk 等活動。
CSSA 外聯部
外聯部是 CSSA 與外界社團、商家的紐帶，是一個集 Business Development，Public Relation，Outreach於一體的部門，常年站在 CSSA 對外工作的第一線。
外聯部合作商家涉及領域廣泛，目前包括教育、法律、媒體、保險、汽車和餐飲等；外聯部同時與 UCI其他華人社團、以及其他高校內的 CSSA 保持長期友好合作的關係。
CSSA 活動部
活動部負責籌備與組織 CSSA 所主辦與合辦的各項活動。前期構思策劃包括活動的時間地點、活動流程等，並能連結宣傳、技術等部門共同設計最佳的宣傳方案。活動當天負責安排與協調，包括場地人員分配與佈置。海灘 BBQ、Irvine 歌手大賽都是由活動部負責的經典活動。
CSSA 辦公部
辦公部的宗旨是努力使部門之間形成密切配合的關係，使整個 CSSA 在運作過程中成為一個高速高標且穩定運轉的組織。辦公部門所負責的工作，包括每年新生季接機的報名和對接的安排，預定 CSSA 活動場地，管理人事檔案和官方郵箱，策劃學聯內部大型團建活動，以及準備 CSSA 成員的生日祝福及禮物等。
CSSA 宣傳部
宣傳部是一個集思廣益且充滿奇思妙想的部門。宣傳部的工作充分發揮個人的創作力以及各大社交平台的運營能力。主要負責 CSSA 社交媒體平臺的運營以及內容創作。包括撰寫週刊原創內容、活動推廣、贊助商約稿推文、海報繪製、社交賬號運營等。
CSSA 技術部
技術部為所有部門活動提供技術支援。在每個CSSA 活動的現場都有技術部同工的身影，他們有時遙控著無人機記錄大型團建的盛況，有時持著單反相機拍攝下 CSSA 部員們在機場為新生接機的過程與付出；在活動背後技術部的科技菁英們負責視頻剪輯，製作 CSSA 微信小程式，網頁設計等任務。
時至今日，CSSA-UCI 執行委員規模約 150 人，社交媒體粉絲量 18000+，每年舉辦數十場各類活動，包括春晚、新生見面會、海灘 BBQ、職業發展峰會、歌手大賽、南加音樂節、電競大賽、奇葩說、美食攝影大賽、一站到底等活動，在全美學聯中大放異彩。CSSA-UCI 凝聚了爾灣的華人學生學者，成為了彼此在國外的一個大家庭。（製作：SSA 辦公部 Tiffany、Shirley、Peter）
