The AAYL Year-Long Cohort offers high school and college students a unique opportunity to collaborate on a community-based oral history project exploring career aspirations, guided by experienced instructors and enriched through archival research at UCI. Participants are expected to demonstrate consistent attendance, engagement, communication, and collaboration throughout the academic year while gaining professional development, networking opportunities, and a $250 stipend. Applicants must meet eligibility criteria. 2. AAYL Virtual Reality Year-Long Cohort 2025-2026

The AAYL Virtual Reality Year-Long Cohort offers high school and college students immersive training in VR tools to creatively reimagine oral history projects as interactive digital experiences - no prior VR experience required. Participants will collaborate with the Oral History Cohort to transform interview materials into 360° video and virtual environments, culminating in a public VR showcase.
