We are happy and honored to share with you that SCCCA executive director and Chinese school principal Yulan Chung has become one of the new Irvine Wall of Recognition inductees! Vice Mayor of Irvine Anthony Kuo announced the three inductees he had nominated won city council’s support on March 22. They will be recognized at the city council meeting on June 14.


"Yulan Chung has been the Principal of the Irvine Chinese School and Executive Director of the South Coast Chinese Cultural Association since 2013, providing leadership in the space of Chinese language and cultural education. The South Coast Chinese Cultural Association and Irvine Chinese School, founded in 1976, has impacted thousands of students and their families and has provided significant impacts to the diversity of Irvine. Most recently, Ms. Chung was appointed to serve on the City's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee." said Vice Mayor Kuo.

The Wall of Recognition, established in 2006 and located in Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park. The Wall of Recognition honors individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses who have made significant contributions to the community.

好消息發布! 我們歡喜且榮幸地與您分享一個消息, 文化中心執行長兼中文學校校長鍾幼蘭女士獲提名為爾灣表揚之牆人選之一, 已在3月22日獲得市議會通過, 將於6月14日在議會上正式接受表揚。

提名鍾校長的爾灣副市長郭正明說:「鍾幼蘭從2013年開始擔任爾灣中文學校校長及南海岸中華文化協會執行長,在中文和文化教育方面展現領導力。成立於1976年的爾灣中文學校和南海岸中華文化協會的影響力及於成千上萬的學生及其家長, 也對爾灣市的多元化貢獻巨大。不久前, 鍾女士被任命為本市的多元、公平與融合委員委員。」

表揚之牆設於2006年, 坐落在比爾上校海軍陸戰隊紀念公園(Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park)內, 所表揚的是對社區有卓越貢獻的個人、團體、組織和商業。郭副市長提名的另外兩位卓越貢獻人士為去年退休的警察局前局長Mike Hamel,和Hoag醫院營運長Marcy Brown。
