Following the success of the Mid-Autumn Festival co-hosted by the City and SCCCC, City council issued a proclamation on September 13, 2022 to honor the cultural tradition. Executive Director of SCCCC Yulan Chung accepted the proclamation.
Mayor Farrah Khan presented the proclamation which states that the city “proclaims September 10, 2022 as ‘Mid-Autumn Festival/Chuseok Celebration Day’ in commemoration of the vast contributions of our Chinese, Vietnamese , Korean, Japanese, Singaporean, Cambodian, Malaysian, Indonesia, Thai, and Filipino communities have made to help shape our city.”
繼爾灣市和南海岸中華文化中心共同舉辦的中秋節成功落幕後，市議會於9月13日發佈中秋慶祝日公告公告，以示尊重文化傳統。中華文化中心由執行長鍾幼蘭代表，在議會接受這一份象徵亞太裔社區合作的榮譽表揚。
市長 Farrah Khan 指出，爾灣市 “宣布 2022年9月10日為 ‘中秋節/中秋慶祝日（‘Mid-Autumn Festival/Chuseok Celebration Day）’，以紀念華裔、越南裔、韓裔、日裔、新加坡裔、柬埔寨裔、馬來西亞裔人、 印尼裔、泰裔和菲律賓裔社區為塑造我們城市，所做出的貢獻。”
