We care about our students and students’ families! We are in the same community. Do you know someone who has difficulties navigating the healthcare system such as Medicare, MediCal, CalOptima, or even is uninsured? Someone facing some type of mental health challenges, someone who can use the help from a support group? A family member or friend of yours can benefit from a free citizenship service? The list of examples goes on.

South Coast Chinese Cultural Center has launched a new Family Support Program (FSP) to help Chinese families make progress on various life challenges in the post-pandemic time. Due to the language and cultural barriers, Chinese American families may have limited access to family support resources. Oftentimes the community also lacks social services on issues related to  immigration and health care.

By collaborating with fellow service partners, SCCCC can assist our community to gain access to the related  information and support. SCCCC will provide a safe and welcoming setting to the community members in need.

We work with fellow service partners to assist the Chinese community to obtain information, referral and support in the following areas:

  • Mental health/substance abuse referral
  • Marriage Challenges
  • Parent/child’s positive coping skills when facing stressful situations
  • Immigration/legal assistance
  • Food Bank
  • Transportation
  • Support Groups
  • Senior Health and Benefits Information
  • Covered California and other insurance help

Our services include information and referral, linkages and follow-ups on the resources and care we can provide. There will be a designated person to assist you.
