Principal Chung was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Overseas Compatriots Culture and Education Foundation on Oct 24, 2022. She attended the award ceremony virtually with the following remarks：
”Hello everyone! I am the Principal of Irvine Chinese School and Executive Director of the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center, Yulan Chung. I am honored to be recognized this year by the Overseas Compatriots Culture and Education Foundation with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Irvine Chinese School, established in 1976, is one of the most successful heritage schools in the United States. Our missions have always been: to enhance understanding of Chinese culture, to promote Chinese language learning, and to advocate cultural diversity in our society. As the 21st Principal of Irvine Chinese School, I stand upon the reputation of our excellent teachers and contributions from parents and volunteers over the past 46 years. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to our teachers, parents, and volunteers. In addition, I would like to dedicate this award to Mrs. Kuan-Yuan Tai, whose family has supported the building of the Chinese Cultural Center and a permanent home for Irvine Chinese School. Thank you Mrs. Tai for your love, wisdom and dedication to education. Finally, I wish you all peace and health, and let us move forward together for Chinese language education!”
Yulan Chung has been the Principal of the Irvine Chinese School and Executive Director of the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center since 2012, providing leadership in the education of Chinese language and heritage. The Irvine Chinese School was established in 1976. Tens of thousands of students have learned Chinese and Chinese culture from the school, which has had a profound impact on the diversity of the Orange County area where the school is located.

大家好! 我是爾灣中文學校的校長，也是南海岸中華文化中心的執行長鍾幼蘭, 很榮幸今年能得到由海華文教基金會所主辦第五屆海外師鐸獎的肯定, 爾灣中文學校是一所歷史悠久的老僑校,從1976年成立至今我們一直秉持著成立的宗旨: 發揚和傳承中華文化，推廣中文學習，進而提倡及實現多元文化的和諧社會 。前人種樹 後人乘涼, 我是爾灣中文學校第21任的校長, 爾灣中文學校46年所累積的教學成果和良好聲譽, 來自於第一線中文教師長期的耕耘和努力, 許許多多熱心公益的的家長和義工無私無我地付出和奉獻。謝謝老師們和家長義工們。另外， 我要特別將這個獎項獻給在天上眷顧我們許多年的戴廣源老師, 非常謝謝戴老師和她的家人對華文教育的支持和認同, 爾灣中文學校才能擁有永久的校舍, 不再寄人籬下, 也才能繼續在社區裡永續服務， 謝謝戴廣源老師。最後, 祝福大家平安健康, 在華語文教育的道路上, 讓我們一起努力前行!
海華文教基金會日前宣布第五屆海外師鐸獎得獎名單，爾灣中文學校校長鍾幼蘭等十人獲得終身成就獎。歷史悠久的爾灣中文學校成立於1976 年，至今有數以萬計的學生在該校學習中文和中華文化，對學校所在的美國南加州橙縣地區的多元化產生深遠影響。鍾幼蘭女士自 2012 年起擔任爾灣中文學校校長兼南海岸中華文化中心執行長，在南加州華文教育和社區服務方面努力耕耘，展現領導力。
