Students Celebrate the Year of the Rabbit

Parents and students of Irvine Chinese School celebrated the lunar new year with wonderful performances and games over the weekend. The sights and sounds of dragon dance, wushu, Chinese yoyo, folk dances, and traditional instruments were unforgettable as the community came together to experience the rich heritage of Chinese culture.

Special thanks to Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris and our first principal Mitzi Fu for joining us. We also appreciate the enhanced security support from Irvine Police Department.

爾灣中文學校師生及家長，21日及22日兩天在校園中歡慶農曆新年。各班學生由老師帶領，在戶外園遊會的攤位上，動手製作兔年吉祥頭飾，比賽筷子夾紅豆技術，並展開吉祥話組詞大比拼。

在馬氏劇場進行的文化表演節目有舞龍、扯鈴、武術、民族舞蹈及國樂演奏，精采的演出獲得全場不絕的掌聲及喝采聲。

受到除夕夜晚上在南加州蒙特利公園市舞廳突發的槍擊案影響，爾灣市警局22日主動在南海岸中華文化中心加派警力，維護社區安全，讓全校師生及家長放心歡慶佳節。
