The state flower of California is called the "California Poppy," also known as the golden poppy. In botanical classification, it belongs to a different genus from the opium poppy, despite being in the same family. Its petite orange flowers resemble small goblets. In Southern California, it can be found almost everywhere: in fields, along roadsides, in corners, and gardens, showcasing its resilient vitality.
Being the state flower, many California residents also enjoy planting the California Poppy in their homes. The charming and vibrant orange flowers sway in the wind, exuding a natural and lively atmosphere.
