This year, as we mark the 22nd anniversary of the Irvine Global Village Festival, the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center (SCCCC) is thrilled to present our resources of Chinese calligraphy, traditional instruments and lion dance at our cultural exhibit booth along with more than 20 other organizations representing diverse world cultures. We invite you to stop by our booth (#10) at Palm Court to take photos with our regal Lion costume, show your calligraphy skills on special writing paper and play on one or two Chinese instruments.
But wait, there’s more! Feel the pulsating rhythm of the SCCCC’s drum team and be enchanted by the elegant movements of the Chinese Dance Company of Southern California, as they bring to life the rich tapestry of traditional Chinese music on the Kid’s Village stage (11:10-12:00). It's a rare treat, a fusion of sights and sounds that promises to captivate your senses and transport you to the ancient lands of the Middle Kingdom.
SCCCC’s Taichi Club will demonstrate iconic Taichi moves from 11:30-12:00 at Palm Court’s Cultural Stage. From 1:00 to 1:30, the South Coast Chinese Orchestra will serenade audiences with selections played on the Dizi, Guzheng, and Erhu. Rounding off the afternoon, the Center’s D@S dance program graces the stage with a sequence of dances from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Join us on Saturday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Great Park in Irvine. Beyond the captivating offerings of SCCCC, the festival promises a myriad of experiences. Savor global cuisines, discover unique finds in the global marketplace, and let young ones explore the delights of the Kids Village. 今年，我們慶祝爾灣地球村節邁入第22週年，南海岸中華文化中心(SCCCC)十分榮幸再度提供文化攤位，展示我們的書法、國樂和舞獅資源，現場將有20多個代表世界各地的組織同時呈現多元文化在爾灣的蓬勃發展。我們誠摯邀請您來到位於棕櫚廣場的展位（#10），與代表中華文化的瑞獅合影，在奇異的沾水紙上展示您的書法，或試玩一兩種傳統樂器。
除了文化展示攤位之外，在兒童村的舞臺上您還可現場感受SCCCC鼓隊的震撼節奏，並觀賞南加州中華舞團精采的民族舞蹈 ，他們的演出時間是11:10到12:00。
SCCCC的太極俱樂部將於11:30-12:00在棕櫚廣場的文化舞臺上展示太極動作。從1:00到1:30，南海岸中華樂團將為觀眾演奏笛子、古箏和二胡的曲目。文化中心的D@S舞蹈項目也安排自2:30至3:00在同一個舞臺上演出民族舞蹈。
歡迎您在10月14日，星期六，上午10點到下午6點，和我們一起在大公園相聚。除了SCCCC引人入勝的展演之外，爾灣地球村節安排有多采多姿的娛樂節目，還有30多個世界各國的美食攤位，平日難得一見的文化市集，以及寓教於樂的兒童村，不論男女老少都可在地球村節遇見充滿歡樂與新鮮的體驗。
