Last weekend (2/10, 2/11) coincided with the first and second days of the Lunar New Year, and the Irvine Chinese School hosted a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration, attracting enthusiastic participation from numerous students. The event was filled with highlights, and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Over the course of these two days, the Irvine Chinese School organized a diverse array of programs, providing students with a rare and joyous experience. The festivities kicked off with cultural lessons, offering students profound insights into traditional Chinese culture. Following that, the second session unfolded into an outdoor carnival, creating an atmosphere filled with laughter and joy.
During the noon period, starting at 11:50am, the outdoor performances took center stage at the Irvine Chinese School, featuring a variety of dazzling showcases, including dance, music, and martial arts. Simultaneously, the school recognized outstanding academic achievements through the fall semester awards ceremony, adding a touch of brilliance to academic accomplishments in the new year.
The Irvine Chinese School had 15 booths set up, each hosting different games and hands-on activities such as paper cutting, ping pong challenges, dragon-themed art, and ring toss – all greatly loved by the children. Additionally, cultural groups presented spectacular performances, including dragon dances, traditional Chinese dances, Chinese yo-yo, martial arts demonstrations, and traditional musical performances on the zheng and flute, leaving a lasting impression.
These two days witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over a thousand people at the Irvine Chinese School, where children and parents alike shared a joyous and harmonious atmosphere during the Chinese Lunar New Year celebration.

在上週末（2/10, 2/11）正值農曆新年初一和初二，爾灣中文學校舉辦了豐富多彩的新春慶祝活動，吸引了眾多學生踴躍參與。活動高潮迭起，孩子們玩得不亦樂乎。
在這兩天的活動中，爾灣中文學校組織了多樣性的節目，為學生提供了難得的歡樂時光。活動開始的第一節課是文化教學，為同學們帶來了深厚的傳統文化知識。隨後，第二節課展開了戶外園遊會，活動現場充滿歡笑聲和歡樂氛圍。
在中午時段，從11:50開始的戶外表演成為了爾灣中文學校的焦點，各種精彩表演輪番上陣，包括了舞蹈、音樂、武術等多種才藝展示。同時，我們還進行了秋季學術票選，表彰優秀作品，為學術成就點亮了一抹新年的光彩。
在爾灣中文學校，現場設有15個攤位，提供了各種各樣的遊戲和手工活動，如手工剪紙、乒乓接龍、畫龍點睛、套圈等，深受孩子們的喜愛。此外，文化團體的表演更是絢麗多彩，包括了舞龍、中國傳統舞蹈、抖空竹、武術表演，以及古箏和笛子的傳統樂器表演，讓人流連忘返。
這兩天，爾灣中文學校有超過千人參與了這場盛會，孩子和家長們共同度過了一個充滿歡樂和祥和氛圍的中國農曆新年慶祝活動。
