
Orange County, March 2, 2024 - The O.C. 9th Lantern Festival, jointly organized by the Pacific Symphony and South Coast Cultural Center, concluded amidst joyous cheers. Despite unfavorable weather conditions with pouring rain, the enthusiasm of the audience remained undeterred. The event officially commenced at 11 a.m., but eager spectators had already gathered at the security checkpoint by 10 a.m. Despite the torrential rain, a vibrant crowd gathered, witnessing the grandeur of the lantern festival.

Inside the concert hall, every seat was filled as thousands of spectators witnessed a feast of Chinese artistry. The South Coast Chinese Orchestra, affiliated with the South Coast Cultural Center, presented classical Chinese music and elegant performances on traditional Chinese instruments, captivating the audience. The Chinese Dance Company of Southern California showcased the grace and beauty of traditional Chinese dance, immersing the audience in a visual extravaganza and deepening their appreciation for traditional Chinese art.

A highlight of the evening was the performance by the team led by Bin He, presenting the second chapter of the traditional Chinese musical "Hua Mulan" and the sixth chapter of "Nezha," elevating the atmosphere to a climax. The production showcased a rich cultural heritage and continued the promotion of Chinese virtues. Mr. He's unique approach brought classic Chinese stories to life through musical theater, allowing the audience to experience the virtues of "filial piety" and "righteousness." Viewers were captivated, unable to tear themselves away, as if transported through time to savor the beauty of classical Chinese literature.
Finally, a hundred-member choir, consisting of adults from the Huasheng Chorus, Irvine Little Singer, and elementary school students from ICIA, Irvine's first dual-language public school, delivered mesmerizing performances that left the audience in awe.

This event was not just a performance but also a profound cultural experience, showcasing the beauty of Chinese art. 橙縣,2024年3月2日 - 由太平洋交響樂團與南海岸文化中心聯合主辦的O.C.第九屆燈會在歡笑聲中圓滿結束。儘管當天天公不作美,傾盆大雨如瓢潑而至,但這也無法阻擋觀眾們的熱情。活動於當天11點正式開始,然而在此之前,已經有大批人頭攢動的觀眾於10點開始等待在安檢門口。雖然大雨滂沱,現場依然湧入了熱情洋溢的人群,共同見證這場盛大的燈會。

音樂會大廳內,座無虛席,數千名觀眾共同見證了一場中華藝術的盛宴。南海岸文化中心旗下的South Coast Chinese Orchestra 在此次盛會中奉獻了經典的中國古典音樂,以及中國傳統樂器的優雅演奏,激動人心。Chinese Dance Company of Southern California 的中華傳統舞蹈更是綻放出婀娜多姿、美麗動人的風采,將中國傳統舞蹈之美表現得淋漓盡致。觀眾沉浸在這場視覺盛宴中,對中國傳統藝術的美感有了更深刻的體會。
最令人矚目的莫過於由何彬老師率領的團隊,呈現的中華傳統音樂劇《花木蘭》第二樂章與《哪吒》第六樂章將全場氣氛推向高潮,展現出帶有濃厚民族特色的音樂劇,並且將中華美德系列繼續發揚光大。何彬老師以獨特的手法,將中國經典的傳統故事以音樂劇形式呈現在觀眾面前,令觀眾感受到“孝”與“義”的中華美德。觀眾看得如癡如醉,久久不能自已。讓人仿佛穿越時空,感受中國古典文學之美。
最後,由華聲樂團的成人、Irvine Little Singer和爾灣第一所中英雙語公立小學ICIA的小學生們組成的百人合唱團,他們的歌聲時而悠揚委婉,時而激情奔放,將現場觀眾帶入無比震撼的視聽之境。
