The Chinese knot has long been an auspicious symbol of peace. It can be made in different ways and is deeply loved by many people across the globe. The South Coast Cultural Center Family Service Program successfully held a Chinese Knotting event last Saturday, inviting locals from the community to experience this aspect of traditional Chinese culture.
Before the activity started, the teacher enthusiastically presented diverse Chinese knots to the participants. While listening to the teacher's introduction, the participants chose their favorite knots and actively prepared to create their knots.
During the activity, the teacher patiently shared the method of "flat knots" and instructed learners on how to complete their creations. Many participants also helped each other while actively discussing handicrafts, and everyone enjoyed the fun brought by traditional culture.
With the joint efforts of the teacher and the participants, everyone completed their own satisfactory works. Some of them can be used as pendants and some as refrigerator stickers. Thank you for your passionate participation from the community. 中國結自古以來都有“吉祥、平安”的寓意，編製手法難簡不一，深得中外朋友們的喜歡。南海岸文化中心家庭服務計畫上週六成功舉辦了一場有關中國結編制的分享活動，邀請了很多社區朋友們一起到场體驗。
老師在活動開始前熱情地向大家展示了玲瑯滿目的中國結手工作品，參與者一邊聽老師介紹，一邊選擇自己喜歡的結繩，積極做好編制準備。
在活動中，老師耐心細緻地分享了“平結”的編制方法，並在大家製作的過程中積極幫助每位參與者完成自己的作品。參與者们也互相幫助，積極討論手工藝，享受傳統文化帶來的樂趣。
在老師和參與者們的共同努力下，大家完成了自己滿意的作品。有的可以當掛件，有的可以當冰箱貼。感謝各位社區朋友的熱情參與，我們會努力提供大家更多體驗中國文化的機會。
