On May 18th, the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center held a community service event with the theme of "Fragrant Bag Making". At the beginning of the event, the speaker vividly introduced the origin, characteristics, and association with the Dragon Boat Festival of fragrant bags, extending to historical knowledge such as Qu Yuan and "Li Sao", elevating the entire activity from simple handicrafts to learning and improvement of knowledge. After receiving the materials needed for sachet making, community members eagerly began to work.
During the process, they exchanged ideas, shared experiences, and continuously discussed and learned, demonstrating a spirit of unity and cooperation. The speaker patiently answered questions from the community members and shared some crafting techniques and insights, enabling each participant to easily complete their own work. Finally, community members handcrafted adorable fragrant bags, taking photos with their creations, enhancing mutual communication and understanding. At the end of the event, each participant left with a sense of fulfillment, gaining a deeper understanding and experience of traditional Chinese culture.
The community service activities of the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center have been well received and supported by the general public. We will continue to work hard to provide more cultural information and community service projects for the community, promote cultural exchange, and inherit the essence of traditional Chinese culture.
5月18日，南海岸中華文化中心舉辦了社區服務活動，這次的主題是「香包製作」。活動開始時，主講人以生動有趣的方式介紹了香包的由來、特點以及與端午節的關聯，並延伸至屈原和《離騷》等歷史知識，使得整個活動從簡單的手工活動升華到了知識的學習與提升。參加互動的社區民眾獲得了香包製作所需的材料後，迫不及待地開始動手製作。
在製作過程中，他們互相交流、分享經驗，不斷探討和學習，展現出了團結合作的精神。主講人耐心解答了社區民眾的問題，並分享了一些製作技巧和心得，使得每位參與者都能夠輕鬆地完成自己的作品。最後，社區民眾親手製作了可愛的香包，大家拿着自己的作品拍了照片，增進了彼此間的交流與了解。活動結束時，每位參與者都滿載而歸，對中華傳統文化有了更深入的了解和體驗。
