Yulan Chung, CEO of the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center, pointed out at the OCAPITF & UCI Data Policy Report Launch Conference on September 12 that in a multicultural American society, non-profit organizations in the Asian community should unite to speak out for Asians. The "Legends" musical, which will be performed at Segerstrom Hall, hopes to interpret Chinese historical legends through the combination of music, dance and martial arts, so that Asian culture can be understood by all ethnic groups and create a harmonious society.

The Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Workshop (APITF) was established in July 2020 by a group of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AA and NHPI) community leaders and numerous Asian non-profit organizations. is serving Orange County’s Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander, and Middle Eastern and North African communities.

After the epidemic, APITF listed the three goals of fair representation of Asian data, access to appropriate mental health services, and safe and affordable housing as three priorities to fight for fair treatment from the government, hoping to enhance the voice of the Asian community. Carefully planned for five years by the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center, the "Legends" musical uses an ensemble of Chinese and Western instruments and combines traditional Chinese dance, martial arts and rhythmic gymnastics to perform China's three legendary historical figures, including Mulan, the Monkey King and Nezha. , is a concrete action to convey the three Asian virtues of "filial piety", "brave" and "righteousness" to the outside world through an innovative model that combines music and art.

橙縣亞洲及太平洋島民工作坊(APITF),是由一群亞裔美國人、夏威夷原住民和太平洋島民(AA和NHPI)等社區領袖和眾多亞裔非營利組織在2020年7月成立,主要是為橙縣的亞裔美國人、夏威夷原住民和太平洋島民以及中東和北非社區提供服務。

由南海岸中華文化中心精心籌劃五年,透過中西樂器合奏並結合中國傳統舞蹈、武術與藝術體操來演繹中國花木蘭,美猴王與哪咤等三位傳奇歷史人物的「Legends」音樂劇,就是透過結合音樂結與藝術的創新模式,將「孝」、「勇」、「義」等三種亞裔美德,向外傳遞出去的具體行動。
 
她希望當天到場所有的亞裔非營利組織代表,都能夠全力支持,告知組織所有成員,闔家一起去觀賞這部原創音樂劇。 昨天這場發表會,是由APITF與UC IRVINE合作,針對亞裔美國人、夏威夷原住民和太平洋島民在橙縣人口成長、年齡分布,心理與生理疾病導致死亡與擁有住房等數據與比例,進行調查,吸引眾多亞裔非營利組織與政府部門代表前往聆聽。
