The Orange County Chinese-American Chamber of Commerce/Foundation (OCCACC/OCCACCF) President and Board Installation was held on the evening of February 16 at the Hyatt Regency Irvine.

In the presence of Judge Deborah C. Servino of the Orange County Superior Court, Ann Hwu and Mary Lin were re-elected as Chamber and Foundation Presidents, respectively, and took their oaths with new board members, earning applause from guests.

Ann Hwu , President of the Chamber, expressed gratitude for the support of the board members. She shared plans to continue the monthly visits and seminars held last year, and encouraged members to suggest innovative activities to make the Chamber a model in Southern California.

Mary Lin, re-elected as Foundation President, thanked the board and community for their support. She shared that last year the Foundation raised $330,000 in scholarships for ten Chinese-American high school graduates and hopes for continued support this year.

Founded in 1988, the Orange County Chinese Chamber of Commerce (OCCACC) supports Chinese entrepreneurs and professionals by helping them grow their businesses, build networks, and celebrate Chinese culture. It currently has over 400 members.

The Chamber/Foundation’s leadership and board are elected annually. The new president and board were selected in December and sworn in on February 16, with over 300 attendees from politics, business, and the community. The ceremony was a lively and festive occasion.

During the event, President Ann Hwu, who also hosted the ceremony, performed the Mexican-style song “SWAY” to welcome guests.

The event featured dragon and lion dances, Chinese yoyo, Qipao Show, Dance martial arts, and Mexican dance, along with a practical tax seminar, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
