On July 26, the NTU Alumni Association of Southern California held its 52nd Annual Gala and Presidential Handover.
Witnessed by TECO Los Angeles Director General Amino Chi and over 500 alumni and guests, Grace Wang passed the presidency to Young Sen Lin, now serving as the 53rd President.
Grace Wang said, “The alumni association is our shared home—thank you for walking this path with me.”
Young Sen Lin added, “We’ll broaden our reach, strengthen alumni ties, and help NTUers shine in culture, service, and professional fields.”

NTU Thrives in SoCal
Founded in the 1970s, NTUAA-SC is one of the oldest NTU chapters in the U.S. Now in its 53rd term, it has 800+ members across LA, Orange County, San Diego, and Riverside.

Members span tech, medicine, law, education, finance, and the arts—many leading in academia, business, and public service, reflecting NTU’s broad impact.

Mission & Purpose
NTUAA-SC connects alumni, supports NTU, serves the community, and promotes culture—linking past and present while rooting NTU values in Southern California.
Diverse Groups, Active Community
To strengthen alumni bonds and foster engagement, NTUAA-SC hosts a variety of interest-based groups and committees.

Dragon Dance Team
A signature cultural group of alumni and youth, performing at major local events to showcase Chinese heritage and NTU pride. -
Youth Chapter
Now 10 years strong, it supports young alumni and students with career talks, networking, volunteering, and startup events. -
Choir
Alumni singers bond through music and perform at key events—moving audiences with songs like “Perhaps Love” and the NTU anthem. -
Board & Committees
Plan events, manage operations, and ensure continuity through structured leadership and annual elections.



Powering Culture and Community
NTUAA-SC actively leads in culture and service. Under 52nd President Grace Wang, the group took part in over 80 events in a year—setting a model for the Taiwanese diaspora.

Knowledge Sharing
Hosted talks and forums featuring experts and alumni on tech, law, and life planning. -
Cultural Events
Organized spring banquets, concerts, choir and dance performances—bringing art to the community and showcasing alumni talent. -
Community Engagement
Took part in events like the OC Double Ten flag ceremony and Taiwan Baseball Day to promote cultural diplomacy. -
Public Service
Supported NTU, wildfire relief, and anti-Asian hate efforts through book sales, charity auctions, and scholarships.


Annual Gala Showcases Unity and Creativity
The 2025 NTUAA-SC Gala kicked off with a packed AI forensics talk by Dr. Henry C. Lee and Daniel Deng, followed by dragon dance, choir, raffles, and dancing—all night energy.
Grace Wang called the gala a celebration of culture, unity, and NTU creativity in SoCal.
Young Sen Lin plans to advance digital tools, youth engagement, and cross-campus ties—helping all alumni connect and thrive.
