The South Coast Chinese Cultural Center (SCCCA) is dedicated to serving the community and promoting Chinese culture through a wide range of high-quality educational and cultural programs. Since 2017, SCCCA has established various performing arts groups, including the Chinese Orchestra, Drum Team, Dance Company, and Wushu Team, offering students of all ages opportunities to learn, grow, and perform while integrating traditional culture into modern community life.
The South Coast Chinese Orchestra blends Eastern and Western musical elements, bringing traditional instruments such as the erhu, pipa, and guzheng onto the stage through original concerts and musical productions that showcase the beauty of Chinese music. The Chinese Drum Team focuses on dynamic rhythms and structured drum instruction, helping students develop musicality, discipline, and teamwork.
The Southern California Chinese Dance Company (CDCSC) tells cultural stories through ethnic dance and original choreography, providing students with a platform to learn, perform, and build confidence on stage. The SCCCA Wushu Team and Wushu classes guide students from foundational training to group performances, strengthening both physical skills and the spirit of traditional martial arts. In addition, SCCCA offers programs such as Roulian Ball, further enriching the cultural and physical experiences available to the community.
From classrooms to stages, and from the community to public performances, SCCCA’s programs go beyond skill-building. They empower students to transform small dreams into big-stage achievements while fostering cultural preservation and community connection.
