Ideas to Action · Creativity to Impact

Last year, the MHG Charitable Foundation launched its Mentorship Scholarship, open to Southern California students in grades 8–12 from financially challenged families with a GPA of 2.7 or above.

Selected students receive $800–$2,000 scholarships and ongoing guidance from professional mentors across various fields.

Last year, 100 scholarships were offered and 949 students applied, reflecting the strong need among young people for resources and direction.

This year, the program will continue while introducing the “From Idea to Impact” Youth Pitch Competition.

Students—including previous scholarship recipients—will present three-minute pitches outlining their project ideas and execution plans. Selected proposals will receive $250–$500 Micro-Grants to help bring their ideas to life.

Mentors Guide · Futures Grow

Kitty Lo, Founder of the MHG Charitable Foundation, noted that today’s young people often struggle not because of limited ability, but due to information overload, lack of direction, and hesitation to take the first step.

Through scholarships and mentorship, the foundation aims to support financially challenged students while providing guidance and encouragement—helping them build confidence and move forward.

Lo added that the new youth pitch competition is designed to combine scholarships, mentor seminars, and hands-on project pitching, creating a three-track platform to inspire learning and real-world innovation.

For the mentor seminar, MHG has invited James K. Wang, President of the Sino-American CPA Association, to guide students through the practical realities of turning ideas into ventures—covering company structure, tax planning, and basic compliance, ensuring that creativity moves beyond ideas into action.

Community Connect · Impact Expand

The competition welcomes project proposals across several areas, including :

  • Community service and public-impact initiatives
  • STEM or AI innovation
  • Education innovation or learning-resource improvement
  • Student-led social innovation or entrepreneurship

MHG will also launch the MHG Community platform, connecting students, mentors, and supporters to foster collaboration and shared resources.

The network aims to help young people grow their skills, expand their perspectives, and develop a deeper sense of social responsibility.

MHG Charitable Foundation

The MHG Charitable Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth through scholarships, mentorship, and innovation programs.

The foundation believes that real change begins when young people are seen, supported, and given the opportunity to grow.

Since 2025, MHG has launched annual scholarships for high school students in the United States, while also supporting education initiatives in Taiwan and India, building a cross-regional network to nurture the next generation of leaders.

Beyond scholarships, MHG promotes Student Micro-Grants and the Mentor Seminar series, encouraging students to turn ideas into action through project proposals, hands-on practice, and professional guidance.

Looking ahead, MHG continues to develop a long-term youth development platform built on three pillars: scholarship, mentorship, and community—helping young people grow, innovate, and create positive impact in society.
