Chinese Immersion Program

Irvine Chinese School was established as a heritage language school in 1976.

We found our permanent home when The South Coast Chinese Cultural Center opened its doors in 2005, and we are now considered as the largest Chinese School in the West Coast.

After our Chinese Immersion Preschool had a successful inaugural year in 2021, we launched our Immersion School in Fall 2022 and welcomed our first class of kindergarten and first grade students. It has been an exciting time for us as we expand our educational and cultural service through the new Chinese Immersion Programs.

Irvine Chinese Immersion School is committed to nurture young minds in a positive learning environment and empower students to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, strong communicators, and lifelong learners. We believe by combining the elements of the progressive immersion model, small class sizes, differentiated instruction and an engaging curriculum, our students can reach their full academic potential and develop their linguistic and cultural competence in a global economy.
