Enrichment Program: Chinese Big Drum
The theme of enrichment this week is Chinese drums. The students learned some basic actions such as drumming up and down. The teacher said the drum is an instrument focused on teamwork, so he divided the students into 4 teams and let the leaders lead them to finish a performance. Their goal for the entire week is to make sure everyone could finish a short song/rhythm individually.
Chinese Story / Cultural Workshop: This week’s theme is calligraphy and painting. Students learn about traditional Chinese culture by learning calligraphy and painting. They learned to write and ancient Chinese printing techniques, such as movable type printing via engraving, and learned the story of Wang Xizhi. They also reviewed the colors they had learned before. Based on this, 205 studied Tang Sancai, 206 did ink blow painting, and 207 did meticulous paintings of the peony flower.
七月底結束的豐富營的主題是大⿎，學⽣們學習了⼀些打⿎的基本動作⽐如上下擊⿎。⽼師說打⿎是⼀個注重團隊合作的樂器，所以讓孩⼦們分成四個組並且由隊⻑帶領完成⼀段表演。他們⼀整周的⽬標是到結束的時候，個⼈都能夠獨⽴打出⼀段。
快樂中⽂ / ⽂化⼯作坊: 快樂中⽂營和⽂化⼯作坊七月底的主題是字畫攤。學⽣通過學習書法和字畫來了解傳統的中華⽂化。在書法及⽂字的部分，他們學會了寫⼤字並瞭解中國古代的印刷技術，⽐如活字印刷以及版刻等，並學習王羲之的故事。在字畫的部份，他們複習了以前學過的顏⾊，以此為基礎，205學習了唐三彩，206做了墨⽔的吹畫，⽽207做了⼯筆畫的牡丹扇⼦。
