The 2025 Orange County Lantern Festival will take place on February 22 at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, bringing a vibrant cultural celebration to the community.
Co-hosted by the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center (SCCCC) and Pacific Symphony, this free event marks its 10th anniversary, continuing its mission to showcase the beauty of Asian traditions through music, dance, and art.
The event will feature performances by the Pacific Symphony, dragon and lion dances, South Coast Chinese Orchestra （SCCO）, Chinese Dance Company of Southern California （CDCSC）, South Coast Wushu Team, and ethnic music and dance from Vietnam, Korea, and more.
Attendees can also explore art exhibitions, riddle-solving games, calligraphy, and hands-on activities like lantern and mask painting, making it a fun-filled experience for all ages.
Beyond the indoor performances, Argyros Plaza will host community group performances, cultural booths, and a grand dragon dance parade, where participants can carry their handmade lanterns and join the procession.
The concert hall will also be adorned with colorful lanterns and festive decorations, creating the perfect backdrop for families and friends to capture memorable moments.
Yulan Chung, CEO of the SCCCC, stated that Chinese traditions, passed down for thousands of years, remain integral to daily life.
The SCCCC is dedicated to fostering cultural understanding through innovative performances, striving to be a national model for cultural exchange.
She also emphasized that by blending Chinese traditions with Western symphonic music, the festival fosters cultural appreciation and greater inclusivity.
This annual event invites people of all backgrounds to experience the richness of Chinese culture, enjoy spectacular performances, and celebrate together in a spirit of joy and harmony.

這場免費入場的文化盛宴匯聚交響樂、亞裔傳統音樂、舞蹈、中華武術等豐富表演節目與各類藝術作品展示，讓民眾沉浸在多元文化的精彩魅力中。
現場還特別提供燈籠與面具，讓大家發揮創意，自由彩繪喜愛的圖案，誠摯邀請全家大小歡度喜慶的元宵佳節。
由南海岸中華文化中心與太平洋交響樂團共同舉辦的元宵燈節慶祝活動，今年邁入第十周年。
室內活動精彩紛呈，包括太平洋交響樂團演奏、舞龍、舞獅、南海岸中華樂團、南加中華舞團、中華武術隊，以及來自越南、韓國等地的民族音樂與舞蹈演出。
另外還有藝術創作展覽、猜燈謎、書法體驗、手工藝製作與各種美食區，讓民眾感受濃厚的節慶氛圍。
在Argyros Plaza戶外廣場，社區團體將提供一系列精采表演與特色攤位。
活動最高潮將由熱鬧舞龍表演掀起，現場觀眾還可手持自製燈籠，共同參與舞龍遊行，感受元宵節的熱鬧氛圍。
當天，室內大廳也將懸掛五光十色的燈籠與美麗裝飾，南海岸中華文化中心也會設置迎春接福牌樓，歡迎民眾前往拍照打卡，在新的一年，留下珍貴的影音紀錄。
南海岸中華文化中心執行長鍾幼蘭表示，許多中華傳統文化歷經千年，至今仍深植於我們的日常生活。
作為文化交流的平台，南海岸中華文化中心致力透過創新的文化展演活動，促進多元文化的理解與融合，成為全美推動文化交流的典範。
她還指出，元宵節不僅象徵團圓與光明，更承載著對未來的美好期盼。
