“LEGENDS 2.0 ended with thunderous applause,” said composer and conductor Bin He. “I finally exhaled—but this is just liftoff.”

He compares the leap from “LEGENDS” to “Chang’e”: Moonrise to a moonshot. “It’s bold, uncertain, but with a clear goal, the team gives it all. We’re ready to create the next legend—together.”

As conductor of the South Coast Chinese Orchestra, Bin He sees a paradox of the digital age: “We’re more ‘connected’ than ever, yet feel more alone.”

“We scroll through endless screens, but what we crave is real, human connection. That’s the power of live performance—it brings hearts, voices, and souls together in a way no technology can.”

“In the theater, we share rhythm, music, and emotion,” said Bin He. “No tech can replace that real, live energy. That’s why “LEGENDS” was born.”

Bin He describes “LEGENDS” as a tribute to life and culture. By blending Eastern and Western instruments—including a full rock band—the show merges tradition and modernity, creating a dynamic and unforgettable stage experience.

“There’s no ready-made music for what we imagine,” said Bin He. “Every show starts from scratch—each note begins a new story.”

He adds, “When I compose, I see images full of energy, color, and emotion. On stage, they come to life through dazzling performances and powerful dance—every move has meaning, every moment leaves a mark.”

Bin He thanked SCCCC CEO Yulan Chung for providing a platform where passionate artists—from professionals to community members—could come together. “LEGENDS was only possible because of this support,” he said.

“Next year, we’re sending Chang’e to the moon!” Bin He laughed. To him, each production is a new mountain to climb. Innovation takes courage, but he’s energized by the talent and creativity waiting to be discovered in the community.

With gratitude and humility, Bin He thanks everyone who supported “LEGENDS”. He’s ready to lead his team on the next, even more powerful artistic journey.
