America’s annual Independence Day is right around the corner! On Friday, July 4, 2025, Irvine and surrounding Orange County cities will be hosting a wide variety of exciting celebrations.

To help you plan a fun-filled day, the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center has carefully curated a list of 10 must-see events, perfect for the whole family.

From classic parades and kid-friendly games to high-tech drone light shows and beachside fireworks displays—there’s something for everyone.

1. Irvine Great Park Independence Day Celebration

Time: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
(Drone Light Show at 8:45 PM · Fireworks at 9:45 PM)

2. Irvine “Red, White & Blue” 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run

  • 10:00 AM – Independence Day Parade
