At the 2025 National Youth Arts Finals in Beijing, the Huang siblings of South Coast Wushu wowed judges and crowds with poised, powerful performances—capturing both the Grand Gold and Best Charisma awards.

Elite Gathering, Champions Clashing

Founded in 2000, the CCTV Weihai Youth Arts Competition now in its 23rd year draws top talent from China and abroad, with millions watching.

For ages 3–18, it covers music, dance, drama, and more, with winners earning medals and CCTV performance spots.

Siblings United, Shining Together

Bernie (13), Denny (10), and Dory (7) Huang, lifelong Wushu practitioners, moved to Irvine two years ago to train with South Coast Wushu Team’s Coach Becky Kong—honing solid skills and calm stage presence.

Earlier this year, all three shone at the Northern California International Wushu Championships, earning spots on Team USA.

Winning first place in CCTV’s North America Wushu category, the siblings punched their ticket to the Beijing finals—a challenge in martial arts and a rare cross-cultural journey.

Spirit & Skill, Double Crown

At the Beijing finals, the Huang siblings wowed with a spear, double hook, double sabers, and long fist routine—powerful, precise, and perfectly in sync.

Their flawless flow and commanding presence scored 9.4, earning both the Grand Gold and Best Charisma awards.

Coach Becky Kong praised their steady composure and teamwork, while their parents credited her training for giving them the confidence to shine on the world stage.

Wushu Glory, Triumphant Return

Bernie called performing in Beijing the greatest honor of his Wushu journey. Denny said daily practice made the stage feel like training, and Dory, though nervous, couldn’t let her brothers down.

From North America victory to Beijing’s Grand Gold, the siblings showed how passion and grit transcend borders—marking a career milestone and paving the way to bigger stages.
