Saddleback Church was founded in 1980 in Lake Forest, California. Today, it has more than 20 campuses worldwide and nearly 30,000 attendees, making it one of the largest churches in California and among the most influential English-speaking churches in the United States.
The founder, Pastor Rick Warren, is the author of the best-selling book The Purpose Driven Life, which has had a profound impact over the past two decades, transforming the lives of millions around the world.
Saddleback Church Mandarin Community is the only Mandarin-speaking congregation of the church in North America. It was established to serve the more than 50,000 Chinese immigrants living in the Irvine and Lake Forest areas.

Saddleback Church Mandarin Community offers vibrant worship services, Sunday messages with Chinese subtitles, as well as a variety of community service and cultural activities. It has become a spiritual family where many Chinese immigrants find encouragement, experience God’s grace, and discover healing and hope.
Currently, Saddleback Church Mandarin Community is also opening to the community the globally renowned Celebrate Recovery program—experienced by more than seven million people worldwide—while providing mental health and counseling support.
In addition, we partner with local organizations to host seminars and workshops designed to help new immigrants adapt and thrive in their new lives.
