On the 14th, the South Coast Chinese Cultural Center (SCCCC) hosted a CPR training session. The training was conducted by professionals from the Red Cross, who taught teachers and staff how to perform critical CPR techniques on those in need of urgent care.
Committed to the safety of its students, SCCCC invited the Red Cross to provide CPR training for the teachers and staff of Chinese School. Another training was designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to effectively and quickly respond to emergencies, such as allergic reactions and choking.
In addition to video instruction, the training included hands-on practice, helping trainees understand the necessary steps to take in an emergency, including ensuring the safety of the surrounding area, checking the victim’s consciousness, and calling 911. The training also emphasized the importance of implementing age-appropriate response measures for different individuals in need.
SCCCC, Irvine Chinese School and Irvine Chinese Immersion School are dedicated to providing a safe and healthy learning environment. The Red Cross CPR training is part of this commitment, and further professional training sessions will be offered to teachers and staff to ensure the highest level of student safety.
