Yulan Chung, Principal of Irvine Chinese School introduced the new independent private school - Irvine Chinese Immersion School in an information session on 4/2 morning. Parents interested in this new school came to listen and ask questions.Irvine Chinese School was well-established in 1976 as a heritage language school and has been accredited by WASC since 2015. The South Coast Chinese Cultural Center opened its door in 2005 and is the largest on the West Coast. Principal Chung said that SCCCA is excited to expand the educational and cultural services through this brand new Chinese Immersion School. “The needs and wants of heritage language learning are growing fast in the past decade. We have been planning on how to use our resources to serve the bilingual and bi-cultural families and community. Chinese Immersion School will be a good start.”

爾灣沉浸式雙語小學將於今年秋天開辦，爾灣中文學校校長鍾幼蘭今天和數十位家長交流沉浸式學校的發想初衷以及目前的規劃，家長們表示這是一個很有意義的方向。
爾灣中文學校成立於1976年，南海岸中華文化中心成立於2005年。鍾校長說，現在的學習中文和中華文化環境有別於幾十年前，雙文化的需要成長快速，美國社會對母語和雙語更加重視。中文學校和文化中心多年累積的資源使得我們有能力去服務這個領域，沉浸式學校的構想就是這樣誕生的。我們歡迎家長們來認識沉浸式雙語小學。四場説明會分成綫上和實體，餘下三場時間是4/9/22 (Saturday); Online session: 4/16/22 (Saturday) 或 4/17/22 (Sunday), 時間都是 11:00 a.m. 至11:50 a.m. 請填寫報名表格。
